Good Evening

Shell had a great evening. Getting better, as she did 5 laps around the ward. The news from Dr. Souf
has really encouraged and inspired her to get moving and active. She also had more of an appetite tonight.
Very emotional for me tonight. When I was leaving she said today was dedicated to her loving husband.

I forgot to mention that Shell's brother Trent (Uncle Mort),flew in from Calgary. The kids love Uncle Mort. He brings lots of laughs and energy. He also is a Reiki Master. He performed some reiki on Shell, which I am sure is going to help the healing process as well as help her sleep.

I would like to say hello to all the NHL Scouts who have been asking about Shell and keeping her in their thoughts and prayers. Although we work for other teams it is a very tight community. Safe travels boys.

Bob

  4. Great News and just in time - the beads were falling apart!! (nothing that some twist ties can't fix)
Cancer... you picked the wrong woman!!!! You will beat this Shel, you have just climbed the first mountain. You've got a bumpy road ahead of you, but your positive attitude reminds me so much of Julie when she fought ovarian cancer and that was 19 years ago!

I thought you could all appreciate an inspirational quote from one of my favorite scholars:

"I have heard there are troubles of more than one kind.
Some come from ahead and some come from behind.
But I've bought a big bat. I'm all ready you see.
Now my troubles are going to have troubles with me!"
    ~Dr. Seuss

Keep fighting the fight Shel and get out your bat!

As always - our love and prayers

  12. Hey guys! thats great news way to go Shell! I bet you are starting to make lots of freinds at that hospital especially now since you are up and walking around the ward as many times as you have been.
Trent performing the Reiki on you for sure would have helped too! thats awesome!
Although there was no one at $Rich$ n Sweeties to perform Reiki last night $Rich$ had a substitute he used in order to warm us up, feel better and sleep well throught the night!
we are sure happy for your progress and hope you have a great day!
