Evening update

Shell has shown continued improvement. She is still in lots of pain but is pushing through with great determination and focus. She did 3 seperate walks around the ward. One for each of her kids. She must be dedicating the big walk out of the hospital to me.
It was so nice to have her sit up in the chair and for us to have a great conversation. We know that the journey is just starting and that there will be good and bad days. This was the first good day that we will enjoy until tomorrow. As each day will pose new challenges.
Shell was given a great compliment by one of the nurses tonight. The nurse couldn't believe Shell had kids that old because her skin was so nice. No wrinkles without make up. I was given no such compliment and by looking at me it was easier for her to believe.
Let us all pray and hope that tomorrow is another step forward.

Good night from Big Bobby Blogger.

  2. Thanks once again Bob from this blog stalker! Spelling, grammar??? Doesn't this thing have a spell check? Well done Shelley and keep on going. Personally, I took my inspiration from the Little Engine That Could- I think I can, I think I can, I know I can, I know I can and I know YOU can Shelley. One step at a time.

  3. Just wait, one of the nurses will shyly ask Shelley one of these days what it is like to have such support from Bob.... And then the nurse will say..... That everyone should be so lucky to have a Dad who is that supportive. :)

You know its going to happen. Then the big laughter you have been waiting for will come out.

If there is anything beyond prayer that we can be doing from a distance let us know here in the Wheat City.

  7. Hey guys! loving to hear the progress is starting to come! Shell as a word of advice make sure you have your house coat on when walking in that ward or you're gonna have as many followers in the hospital as you do on BBB!!
ha ha I had to get a blood test the other day and they drew blood from both arms (because mine are so muscular)?the blood just quit coming out of the one so they had to use the other one. I thought about you and how many pokes with needles you have had, I must say you are doing amazing!!
Bobby I know you never get tired of hearing it so... un real job at the updates! Hoping today is even brighter for you!

  11. Thanks for keeping us up to date. Each day we look for the news and so glad to hear the progress. We have both said that we hope it won't be long before we will be able to hear Shelley's laugh. It is so wonderful to see you, Shell, Bob, the kids, and extended family all pulling so hard together.

  13. Just so everyone knows , our grandmother had and our mom has beautiful skin, so Shell comes by it honestly. Of course they all use Mary Kay cosmetics supplied by the one and only sister Cor. So if you want beautiful skin like Shell's contact me for all your beauty needs. I've tried to do makeovers on Bob and Trent but.....they do have nice bald heads as for the face Mary Kay can only do so much. Shell that just goes to show that you are truly beautiful inside and out.
    Love you, Cor
