Our journey

Picture used with permission
Welcome to our journey...our fight...our will to overcome breast cancer.

Thank you to all our family and friends who expressed an interest in our journey towards cancer-free living. It is truly overwhelming! We really didn't want to miss someone's email or phone call and decided this blog would be a place for our family and friends to see how we are doing. Please drop us a line if you feel up to it.

We look forward to having you share our journey together!

Love, Shelley, Bob, Alycia, Mikayla & Rob

  1. Hey Auntie Shelley and the rest of the crew... I just wanted to let you know that I'm thinking about you and praying for you. I'll say an extra special prayer for you on the 24th.

  2. Shelley, we heard through my Mom that you had received a disappointing diagnosis and we were saddened to hear that this terrible disease had dared invade your body. We pray and hope that the medical team is competent to do what they have to do and and we are certain that you will come through with flying colors. We look forward to getting back up to Emma Lake with you and the gang for another of one of those awesome reunions!

We know that you are that special person that has the faith, family and strength to get through this. Having that special blood will also help... you know....that "Loch" stuff....that requires you live with high spirits and be strong.

    All our love,
Ric, Tracee, Brett, James & Kayla

  3. Hi Shelley.. sorry to hear of your diagnosis! As you know, I have worked at CancerCare Manitoba for the past 13 years and see cancer patients day in / day out. I never think of someone my age having cancer either, but in looking around it can and does happen.

You are a strong person and have shown that already by being proactive in having your screening done and following up with tests. Early detection is key!

Our prayers and thoughts are with you and your family. Wish we were closer!

  4. Hey Shelley...I don't know what to say...shock...sadness...worry are only a few things that come to mind. I must apologize I only found out a few days ago, Sam kept the news from me, he thought it would upset me too much. He is now trying to protect me, funny how things change in life. I am thinking of you often, you are always in my prayers. I wish you health, happiness and lots of love. Thank you for sharing your journey via this blog, it's such a great idea and wonderful tool for us all to use. Take care my friend...please look to our family if you need anything.

    With love and prayers

Stuart, Bonnie, Sam and Jack Gorski
